KUCHENMEISTER

Kuchenmeister GmbH in Soest, is a manufacturer of fine pastries and confectioneries as well as cake specialities with a production area of about 30,000 m2 at different locations. The aim was for HTT/WHS technology to use the exhaust gas losses of the oven heating for warm water supply in the business and to thus reduce the use of primary energy sources.

DANAFLEX

Danaflex is one of the leading flexographic printing companies in Russia. Danaflex uses flexographic printing plants from German manufacturer Windm?ller & H?lscher, who in turn relies HTT thermal oil heaters for the generation of process heat.

XENTRYS LEUNA

Xentrys Leuna GmbH mainly produces “polyamide 6" for the carpet industry. The previous heating of four polyamide reactors with electrical heaters saw a complete replacement of the old system with a HTT thermal oil plant. Furthermore, a second HTT unit now supplies two new reactors with double output.

Marcus Weber, Production Engineer: “Based on an annual consumption projection, we calculated savings in energy costs of more than 50 per cent for reactor heating. The amortisation period for the entire project amounted to less than one year – despite accounting for additional costs resulting from related construction and infrastructure measures as well as general pipework.”

KRANTZ

In Aachen, Clean Air Solutions, Krantz GmbH deals with processes for thermal cleaning of hydrocarbon-containing exhaust air flows.

Stefan Gores, Division Manager Clean Air Solutions, Krantz GmbH: “The surplus energy of the hydrocarbons from paper impregnation present in the exhaust air, which is released during thermal exhaust air purification, is used in a steam heater built by HTT and reused directly for operating the production plants. The thermal efficiency of the exhaust air cleaning plant is increased as a result, operating costs are reduced and a tangible contribution is made to protect the environment and the climate.”
